Data collected
- Orders and account: name, addresses, email, phone number, order contents.
- Payment: payment status. Your bank details are processed only by the payment provider, never by Miel Empire.
- Contact: information entered in the contact form or exchanged on WhatsApp.
- Browsing: technical data required for the site to function and remain secure and, with your consent, advertising measurement data (pages and products viewed, items added to the cart, orders, clicks to WhatsApp, the TikTok or Google ad click identifier and the TikTok _ttp cookie identifier, both of which are saved with your order).
Purposes and legal bases
- Processing and delivering your orders, managing customer service: performance of the contract.
- Keeping our accounts and meeting our legal obligations: legal obligation.
- Securing the site and preventing fraud: legitimate interest.
- Sending you marketing information: only with your consent.
- Measuring the effectiveness of our TikTok and Google ads: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (“Manage my cookies” link).
- Contacting you once about an order you started but did not complete, if you entered your email address or phone number: legitimate interest. Just tell us if you do not want to be contacted.
Recipients
Your data is accessible to Miel Empire and its service providers, within the limits of their tasks: hosting, security and delivery of the site, sending emails, WhatsApp messaging (Meta), the payment provider and carriers. If you have accepted advertising measurement cookies, TikTok and Google are informed of your order (number, amount and, for TikTok, the products ordered) so that we can measure the effectiveness of our ads. When your order is paid, our server also sends TikTok your email address and phone number in hashed form (converted into an unreadable fingerprint that TikTok compares with its own data to find the matching TikTok account), your IP address, technical information about your browser and the identifier of the ad click that brought you here. Miel Empire and TikTok are joint controllers for collecting this data on our site and sharing it; Google acts as a separate controller. TikTok and Google then use this data for their own purposes, in accordance with their privacy policies (tiktok.com/legal/page/eea/privacy-policy/en and policies.google.com/privacy), with whom you can also exercise your rights. Some of these recipients are located outside the European Union, in particular in the United States and Singapore; these transfers are covered by the safeguards provided for by the regulations, in particular the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Retention periods
- Order data: for the duration of the relationship, then for the legal retention period for accounting records.
- Customer account and direct marketing: 3 years after the last contact.
- Contact messages: 3 years after the last exchange.
- Cookies: 13 months maximum.
- Advertising identifiers saved with an order (click identifier, _ttp): 90 days.
- Unfinished baskets: 48 hours, then automatically deleted.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to us at [email protected].
